..reminds me that in late 80-s, during agony of soviet economy, they offered their UAZ (btw, it’s UAZ 469 on the pic, i suppose) without engine, so a happy customers had to find (yes, rather «find» then «buy», due to total deficit of everythin & everywhere) and install it themselves
…for a second I thought it was my old VW Bug. eeek!

I just love racing these in the forests during wintertime, much more fun than modern jeeps. And there is no power steering.
